Lodging is at a premium in Monument Valley. There are 2 hotels near the park, the historic Goulding’s Lodge & Trading Post and The View Hotel which is new. Kayenta is 50 miles south and is the largest city on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. Mexican Hat is a tiny hamlet located 20 miles north of the park and offers motel style lodging.

Reservations will be required to visit this park. Limited resources in the remote corner of Arizona make this a wedding that must be planned in advance.

Goulding’s Lodge
This hotel is located just 6 miles outside the park this property on the National Registry of Historic Places. The trading Post was started in the 1920’s. Relax on your own private balcony and savor the spectacular views of Monument Valley, including Eagle Mesa, Brigham’s Tomb, King On His Throne and Stagecoach, just to name a few. The View Hotel

Kayenta is one of the most important towns on the Navajo Reservation, and has a variety of restaurants, grocery stores, an airport and other visitor facilities. 50 miles from the park entrance, Kayenta is the closest town with any real services and shopping.

Mexican Hat Lodge
